Purdue is going to wipe the floor with them. Get ready for a deer in the headlights look for the bears once the game starts. Purdue is there just about every year. Some good teams did not get spots in the tourney that would have played better than Baylor will. If they had gone to the NIT, at least they'd have a chance to win more games.

A&M will get by BYU, and they'll give UCLA a good run. Should be a good matchup.

Unlike last year, I don't see as many upsets. The experts picking 1,2 1,3 1,2 1,2 is probably pretty close to what will happen, with the exception of Pitt. They're rolling, and I see them upsetting some teams.

I'm also glad Baylor made it. With the exception of Lomers, I enjoy watching them play ball. I hope they take care of Purdue, the tourney is more interesting with a maximum of big 12 teams in it.

i'm personally happy for them. it's something special to have one of the best teams your school has seen in a VERY long time make it to the dance, especially coming out of the sh*t their program went thru just a few years back.

Glad to see Baylor in the tourney, and just as glad to see them exit in the second round. Don't muff the first round bears!

Scott Drew has done a fabulous job. They have tons of flaws (defense, eratic play, etc). But Baylor is capable of beating and losing to any team in the tourney. Seriously.

Just congratulate you conference bretheren omn a hard-earned milestone. Remember how elated we were just a few years ago. At least be happy for them.

I tend to put a premium on D at tourney time. I'd be very leary of picking a team making it's first appearance in the dance that relies on the 3 as much as BU does. Just think at some point nerve are going to play a part. Do I think Purdue is an absolute lock. o way. If BU can keep it an up tempo game Purdue could be in trouble."

This is a good analysis. I think BU has a good shot if they play up to potential but I have a hard time picking them just because in big games this year, nerves have seemed to effect them and they have not shot well.

Reminds me of my father-in-law, class of '57. Ags were about to play TCU in Kyle Field, and my future brother-in-law mentioned that he might leave the Ag's game early to catch SMU and Arkansas. My father-inlaw asked, "Why?"

I think it's funny to see someone talk about Baylor's loss to Colorado as the reason the Bears will lose to Purdue. If they weren't so ignorant, that person would also realize that Purdue lost to an equally as bad Illinois team in the Big 10 tournament. Both Baylor and Purdue had horrendous losses in their conference tournament.

Purdue starts a bunch of good freshmen, while Baylor starts a bunch of good juniors. I'll go with Baylor!

Illinois is nowhere near as bad as colorado. Colorado was 12-20 and then proceeded to get killed their next game, just like they did in the regular season. Illinois, a team who had very close losses against every major team in the big ten this year, moved to the final game and actually has NBA talent at 2 positions. Stop trying to make your loss to CU sound like it was nothing.

Illinois took it all the way to the big 10 championship game right? CU got beat by an OU team that ended up getting absolutely pasted by tu. Trust, theyre not on the same level. That said I am happy for BU and the Big 12. Maybe it doesnt seem like all too big a deal now, but the more the Big 12 can establish itself as a premier conference, the sooner we all start getting respect. More competition only raises the level of intensity, so we can either congratulate the bears and work that much harder to stay ahead of them, or we can moan and whine, and become complacent.

Better competition will pay off big in the future.

I am very glad that the Big 12 got six teams in and I hope that all six win their first round game. It would be nice to think that making the dance would help BU fans grow up. But, I keep hoping that MAKING THE NCAA TOURNAMENT THREE YEARS IN A ROW will lead to some TexAg posters maturing a little.

It's a tradition now. Expect it but still find pleasure in our success. Gig'em.

I'm not. How quickly you guys forget them littering their court with debris just a few games ago when we played them.

I'm sorry but Baylor didn't deserve to make it. We barely made it but I think we earned it with the 2 wins in the B12 tourney. I am not a Baylor hater, I just don't think they deserved it. I also am ticked that UK and BCG made it...with 18 wins! That was a legacy pick.
Now lets have a Holiday Bowl experience and BTH outta BYU.

Baylor clearly deserved it. They beat Notre Dame, Winthrop, us, KState, etc etc.

Their resume was as good as anyone else at a 10 to 12 seed.

Every one has flaws once you get past the 6 seeds.
