UCLA in the 2nd round?

says it doesnt matter. you can never tell what the brackets will look like because the selection committee will always leave people either pissed off or scratching their heads
It's a LOT easier to predict who is going to be in than it is to predict seeding and bracket placement.
Bracketology shows us drawing USC in the second round.
Nice reward for a potential #1 seed season.
Bottom line--you don't want to be playing anyone from the pac 10 in the tourney until at least the Elite 8.

We will be an 8/9 seed in the West and UCLA will be the #1 seed in the West hence we will be playing the Bruins in round 2.
Beating K-State was the worst decision Turgeon has made this year.
Losing that game would've put us at an 11 seed likely. We could have avoided the ridiculous teams until the Sweet 16.

Holden, you've been right on a lot of things, but I think you may be wrong on this one.
Holden- you are simply wrong here. You can somewhat accurately predict who's in or out or who the top seeds are. But it's impossible to accurately predict the particular matchups. Would anyone last year have guessed we'd play Louisville in Lexington in the second round? Of course not.
Also, that would be absolutely stupid to intentionally lose vs. KSU. Horrible, horrible idea.

Personally, I'm happy it's UCLA in the second round. Not only do we get to take on a 1 seed, but a team that most of these guys played against last year, so they're at least familiar with what it would take.
Also, I rather UCLA over UNC and Memphis because both of those teams could go up by 20 during our infamous 4 minute scoring droughts. I think the Bruin's style of play matches up nicely with us.

ucla is a tough 2nd round draw, if we get out of the furst round alive, because theiy are probably the best defensive team in the country.
Points are going to be hard to come by against them.

Let's win the first round, then we can worry about UCLA.
I've been on the wrong side of a couple of Holden ownages, glad I wasn't there this time.
This week Bobby Knight was asked about conference tourney wins v. losses and the impact on seeding and he I recall he said there is not much of any difference between playing seeds 1 v. 2 v. 3 v. 4 in the NCAA Tournament so not to worry too much about it...
