watch the replay...he steps o.b. after he is bumped and yes there is time left when he steps o.b.

^are sure? It looked like he almost stepped out of bounds, but not.

Even if he only ALMOST stepped out of bounds, it is why that wasn't that bad of call. You can't reward the other team for bumping the guy out of bounds, which is what the ref was worried about there likely. In hindsight if he didn't step out, obviously the call preferably would not be made. But it's easy to see why a ref would make it when it looks like the guy is being bumped out, even if ticky tack for that situation.

If he did in fact step out bounds from the bump, the call had to be made. The fact that we are debating if he went out or not after seeing a replay, shows how hard of call that was.

clearly there was time left when he got bumped and stepped on or near the sideline.
