BJ plays great while he's in there, then we don't see him the rest of the half. He better be running the offense for at least 6 minutes in the 2nd half because Sloan can't handle the PG duties.

He is at his best when he's at the 2. in the 1st and 2nd half, his ball-handling duties allowed for EASY mizzou points reaching the end both times. He turns his back to the basket when facing a pressure defense @ half court.

Yes he played well today, but there isn't one thing I said that I would say he "overcame."

he played like the player he was last year, and that's awesome. I STILL don't want him running the majority of his time as the PG of this team. Is that too much to handle? I'd rather have Kirk/Holmes at the 1, and let Sloan attack off the wing, where he's most natural.

He scored 21 points, dished out 6 assists, was a catalyst behind us maintaining our strong scond half, and finished off Mzzu with great FT shooting. Mizzu embarrassed him so much so that he led the team in scoring.

how many FT's were at the end of that game a direct result of who caught the ball on the in bounds pass? be smarter than that.

dribbling the shot clock out, not looking up when driving, turning your back to pressure D at half court, and 3 errant passes down the stretch isn't something to be happy about. he made his FT's, which I'm VERY excited about, but what I commented on, he has yet to show me he can overcome.

keep thinkin what you want, bud. Sloan missing FT's was TEAM thing. Turge said time and time again that they were all doing well in practice, just had to translate. Anyone remotely close to basketball knows that FT's can be fixed. Yeah he needed to make the, but now that he is, i'm MUCH more comfortable with him in the game late. YOU still won't accept that you haven't been able to counter ANYTHING i said about him.

He's a sophomore replacing maybe the best that ever wore the uniform at A&M. I've dogged him in the past but he played solid today and has in recent games.

Donald Sloan is a VERY good player. He has far more natural talent than most of the guys on our team save DeAndre and maybe Davis. Yes, he has to work on his fundamentals, but guess what? Sloan, for all his shortcomings in the game, was the only reason we ever had a chance against Baylor. He played very well down the stretch against OU and played a solid game against ISU. He doesnt need to sit in favor of a true freshman with less physical tools than he does. He needs to be otu there making plays like he did today and has for most of the season.

I've never said we have no talent or no depth. I have said we have VERY young talent and lack of quality depth at the 1-3 spots (Which has gotten better since Holmes has emerged).

I also never said coaching doesnt matter, I said it is not as vital as it is in football. Melvin Watkins is proof that coaching matters.
