Of course, I would like for Turge to take the team to the final four this year - but realistically what does he have to do to satisfy your expectations?

I would expect an NCAA berth this first year with the talent he has.

Would you be disappointed with anything less?

Round of 32 and a Top 25 finish at a minimum...........

I don't see any reason that we shouldn't make the round of 32.

Before claiming expectations for anything else, I'm going to have to see how we wreck ESU tonight.

J/K. I'll have to see how we look at MSG and at Zona, then a clearer picture of what the dance will look like should develop.

I believe this team and Turge are going to suprise alot of people by the end of the year on how good this team really winds up being.

Win a tournament game. Two would be nice.

As long as Aggie hoops are still talked about on ESPN and such as being successful, then I'll know we haven't lost any time.

I think we'll be a positive surprise too -- though with national rankings clustered in the mid-teens, we can't be THAT big of a surprise (except to CollegeHoopsNet and their #51 ranking, anyway... someone forget to send them the memo?).

At the same time, I'd be satisfied with top-third of the Big 12 and round of 32. After all, we're replacing integral parts of the team last year with new faces; no matter how good the new faces are, I expect some growing pains. Anything beyond round of 32 and top-4 in the Big 12 is gravy (not saying we won't do it -- just that if that's "all", I'm good with it).

If anyone had told me three years ago that we'd be on our second new coach over that time, and we'd be thinking of round of 32 and top-4 big 12 as expectations, not aspirations, I'd never have believed it.

More interested in the way they play than record. If I see good offensive and defensive sets, hustle, and good execution, then I could care less about the record.

That said, I think with will be close to Sweet 16 bound with all of those.

I'll say the same thing I said in the middle of last season:

I'd like to see at least one win in the NCAA Tourney.

Anything beyond that is nice, but not a barometer due to the craziness of March Madness. Wins past the first round are no sure thing.

1 win in the tourney, and I'd be happy with his first season.

Anything more, and I'm really excited.

Anything less, and I'm a little nervous.

Looks like a lot of our expectations will be right if we win Thursday.

Early success changed a lot of our expectations it appears.

Making the dance should be the absolute minimum for being considered a successful season. We've done that ... congrats to the entire team, players and staff, on their accomplishment. Their performance in the B12 tourney made it happen.

Yep, we *should* get that one win. More than that, with our draw, may be too much to hope for.

And it's all good. And looking good going forward, too.
