Just whipped up a batch after I saw the link, and they are cooling so we'll see. Smell like brownies so probably alright

Haha, my bad, my bad. I, in fact, did not die from eating these.

I am no aficionado when it comes to brownies but these are pretty tasty. Very rich and gooey, the soy is not noticeable in terms of a soy sauce taste but there is an added depth to the flavor overall. I'd make them again, very easy recipe. Will take them to share with friends this evening without telling them they are flourless soy sauce brownies to see what they think.

Let us know how they liked it. I may give it a go.

My daughter is the baker in our family, and we use a lot soy sauce in our food (wife from Hawaii, lots of asian cuisine etc...) so I forwarded her the recipe. If she makes them I'll report back.

Sorry all, didn't mean to co opt the thread but here's the black bean brownies recipe that was all the rage a few years ago and seems to be making a come back. Never got around to doing it myself but seems intriguing.

I know some people subbed out the oil for about 4 TBLSP of butter which seemed ok as well.
