It's not the worst, but it always comes out different. From Julia Child's Beef Bourguignon recipe...

Remove bacon rind and cut into lardons (sticks 1/4-inch thick and 1 1/2 inches long). Simmer rind and lardons for 10 minutes in 1 1/2 quarts water. Drain and dry.

Was cooking breakfast for a large group and cracked 20 dozen eggs. When I picked out a few shells had a guy tell me not to worry about it, the shells cook down with the eggs and disappear.

Was that an eating healthy recommendation, or someone thought that salt doesn't do anything to food until the cooking process is over?

HS home ec teacher.

She saw me adding salt to thr water I was going to cook spaghetti in.


Says people will salt the dish before tasting, so not salting before means they won't get too much sodium

Where are you finding skin on chicken breast? Or are you just trimming off whole chickens or bone in chicken breast pieces.

I was referring to recipies that start of with "use boneless, skinless chicken breast".
