My mom used to make meatloaf frequently. At some point I mentioned to her that I thought we had it too much. Years later, it dawned on me that she never made it again after that. I was probably in Jr high at the time of my request and had my realization at A&M. I guess she just ripped that page completely out of the book! I felt kind of bad, I didn't expect such a strong reaction! (I actually like meat loaf, and did back then, too.)

Wait till you hear about my garlic mashed potatoes with butter, grated parmesan/romano cheese and crushed French's fried onions mixed in.....

I've had the chicken fried meatloaf at Jack Allen's, and it is really good. It's something you will want that for dinner, and nothing else, because it tends to sit in your stomach for a while.

I've had great meat loaf and awful meat loaf. If I ever have any leftover I'll slice a couple inches thinck and then throw on the griddle to get crust with some american cheese and sauce, then put on a bun. It's delicious.

Made a meatloaf tonight, a small adjustment from my grandmother's recipe. I used more milk than she does, didn't saute the onions, and added minced garlic.

It came out perfect.

I have plenty of leftovers, meatloaf sandwiches here I come.

Anyone want an absolutely unique and different flavor profile for meatloaf?

Love meat loaf. Make a pork one with shaved apples and BBQ sauce that's delicious.
