What do you like to do for days like what we're having in the DFW area?
We love to eat stews/chilis/etc when it is crazy cold outside. I wish we hadn't finished off the last round of gumbo in the freezer.
On Sunday I smoked a pork butt then on Monday I took some of that and made a green chili stew. I'll end up freezing a lot of this tonight or tomorrow.
Yesterday I made birria using Chef John's recipe. In the past I've always taken the extra step (linked in the previous link) to remove the meat, shred it, then add liquid to the stew broth, and made tacos. This is the first time I've stopped at only the stew and can't wait to dig in for lunch.
