Any recommendations on Houston area meat markets? I live on the southwest side of town and haven't had any luck searching the web.

SW Side? You can make the drive to Vincek's in East Bernard or Kovasovic's in Rosenburg.

We just got a new one in Katy - Cherry Block Craft Butcher, but he's pricey.

Pete's on Richmond is all I've got. Of course every HEB and Kroger also has a butcher - hence why there are so few independent meat markets these days.

Pete's or Central Market ,but like Cherry Block, they aren't cheap.

New one opened in Houston Farmers Market, too...... but it probably is pricey, too

For price and quality, a good HEB is hard to beat

They opened by our neighborhood in a spot that was a cursed restaurant location. I was skeptical when I saw what was coming but damn if I'm not there once a week. In addition to the meat selection which is off the chain , they make a mean deli sandwich as well.

If anyone stops by Stone Cold Meats, they have some interesting sausages behind the counter. They rotate different flavors. The Chipotle-gouda was amazing as well as the Brisket-Jalapeno.
