I hate how this thread has turned into a price ****ting thread.

Bottles move at right price and they don't at the wrong price. Pretty simple.

Not everyone knows the exact market value of every bottle and not everyone should be expected to sell bottles way below market because "muh aggies"

I realize some bottles are outrageous price. Talk about them being high and move on. Bashing aggies about not being good aggies is not the way to do it imo.

I've stopped using this thread for that exact reason. There is one particular user who is the main culprit, too. If the mods would just ban him from this thread, we could probably return to the way it used to operate a year ago.

I'll take one of those EHT Batch 12s off your hands.

I'd be interested in one of the Nikka Coffey Grains. Might be passing through cstat in the next few weeks.

Agreed. We should safeguard the secondary values of our current inventory.

The bourbon secondary values are bottoming out and people are worried about taking a bath in ****ty investments.

I don't think anyone on this thread cares about preserving secondary pricing, especially in a tiny market of Texags which will have no effect either way. If someone has their weller 12 priced $35 too high, it won't sell. No need to bash them and say they are taking advantage of aggies. Or making fun of people selling bourbon to buy other bottles they want (or get cash who cares either way). Not productive. This is a trading thread, stuff moves and stuff sits. So many ruffled feathers over a few bucks.

Maybe can start a lobbyist group to go to washington DC to crack down on secondary trading if it's having such an effect?

I hope the secondary market tanks so we can all drink some good ones, but in the meantime, the market price is what it is, and no one on Texags is changing it.

As far as TexAgs, I want to be remembered for great barrel picks and upsetting people on the internet.

Ah yes being the professional internet troll. One of those things you will always be able to look back on on your deathbed and be able to revel in the joy you created for yourself by doing it.

Love the Texags picks and community and thankful for the work that goes into it. Carry on and hopefully everyone can trade their bottles here without their character being questioned.

I think from the first post I made on this thread it has been just as bad. I by no means know everything about this hobby, but I got criticized for wanting what I wanted. This isn't about your mental blue book, the value is what the owner of the brown water thinks it is worth. If your pricing sucks, your bottles don't move. If you try hard enough you may eventually get to what you are looking for. I have had plenty of failures and successes, just keep having fun with it. **** talk is great, and in good faith can make this community 1000x more fun. But, about what you're saying before you send it, half the time it's probably not as funny as your fired up fingers think it is.

It's impressive that you manage to comment on every post on here. Not that I have to explain myself to you, but you damn well know that's how things work. Stop being such a dick. There's a reason you're on your 100th user name and you have issues with people in every forum you post on.

Probably doesn't work at either place. If you work at KPMG or Deloitte, you know to charge for that level of brilliance.

2 things I learned while working in consulting:

1) it's not about doing work, it's about gaslighting the client into thinking you're doing work
2) you owe me money for what I just told you

This. Market sets the bottle. That's why I responded as I did originally. I figure if dude wants to throw up a couple bottles for trade, maybe some offers mean more than others regardless of secondary or msrp.

"With all due respect"....I get your point but I simply ask for you to look at it from both sides....

1. I was simply asking for his valuation so I could make what I hoped would be a fair offer
2. I honestly like BT Rye but don't know what it may be worth and heaven forbid I offer publicly something that's considered by some idiot on here a low ball offer and I get ridiculed for no reason.....Some people unfortunately can't refrain from being an a$$ on this board and I'm not in the mood for it...
3. Finally I think he is mature enough to respond as much for him or herself without someone else jumping in and speaking for them....Which at the end of the day he did...

Just my opinion....

God Bless and happy trading!
