I'm know almost nothing about whiskey except the big names out there, but am looking for a nice gift to buy. I came across someone on Instagram who claims to be a distributor selling the following:

Yamazaki 18 - 250
EH Taylor SB - 110
George T Stagg - 150
Stagg Jr - 100

Most of these seem to be around normal secondary market pricing, except the Yamazaki which seems significantly cheaper. Am I missing something here? Scam?

I'm surprised at all the RHF love. As someone who's had two full bottles it's kind of a meh for me.

That said I think I have another I could let go for secondary.

Hey, ya miss 100% of the shots ya don't take.. Going off of ~200-220 and similar trades on FB groups. Not a JD fan myself; trying to get to something I'll actually drink/enjoy. Someone gifted it to me.

It's a cool looking bottle. Maybe keep it in the music room? Or perhaps take it to a concert with you for pregaming.

I said your mileage may vary and that after 1500 ml I found it uninspiring.

But, I like hotter feels with my bourbon. It was certainly smooth. That's about it.

It's a legit offer. Not sure how someone picks up 2 more bottles of a hard to source bourbon after finding the 1st bottle to be average. To each their own.
