Anyone have a good recipe for marinara from fresh tomatoes? I've got a ton from the garden this year and my wife and I want to make some sauce that we can freeze and use later.

My base marinara:

Dice and saut an onion in some oil over med high.
Add 2 pounds diced tomatoes, salt and pepper.
Cook, stirring occasionally for about 15 minutes.
Add some chopped basil at the end.

Replace the onion with a clove or two of garlic, and you have a really good base sauce.

This is our go to everything red sauce, though sometimes if we aren't in a hurry we just core the tomatoes and blister before crushing in the pan.
