We're headed to Italy and will be travelling the areas between Milan, Verona and Venice. Any winery recommendations or particular wines to look for? We are big fans of Amarone and Brunello. Planning on drinking a lot there and bringing a few home, preferably stuff we can't find here.

A little northeast of Verona is a small vineyard called Vantorosso, that we visited a couple of years ago. Some good Amarone. The owner is Vanni Pasquale, a retired F1 driver and now winemaker. He learned from Franco Allegrini, a respected winemaker who died just 2-3 weeks before we were there. We bought a couple of cases while there and more since.

Nothing in that area, but my favorite summer wine of the moment is vermentino from Ligure. There isn't a lot of selection in the US, so if I were in Italy I'd probably grab a few.

Love their wines. I've got a few bottles stashed away.

Few and Far Between. Great wine but made it tough to
stay up for the late delayed game!

sounds awesome! Obviously lots of bubbles there, but some really interesting whites can be found in Veneto areas.

Maya - soft, currant, v layered. Hint of leather and mocha. Maya is my fav wine, period.

Araujo - rounded, lighter currant. Layered, but not the depth of Maya. Berry, light menthol

What is the best online wine auction company to sell wine? Its time I sell most of my collection and I'm also happy to sell to any fellow Ags. Wife and I used to drink 3-4 bottles a week and now we might open 1 bottle a month. Too old to withstand the side effects now and just need to watch my health. At this pace I have no option but to sell as much as I can of my 500+ bottles. I need to do a full inventory but I have:

I made most of these purchases 2010-2019 but really slowed down buying during Covid.

I assume several of you are on the William & Mary list. I was planning to buy a 3 or 6 pack as usual, but his notes make it sound like the wines aren't very good this vintage. Have any of you tried his 2022s?
