My 2000 Burgess was outstanding yesterday. It still had a lot of fruit left with some acid, but you could definitely tell it was an aged wine. Glad I opened it when I did.

It's hard to tell with Cameron Hughes. I remember the same talk with Lot 200. It was a "100 point" wine but tasted like an 88 to me.

We had some great friends in town tonight so I cooked dinner (rib caps and truffle explosion raviolis) and opened some wines. I had a taste of each and a glass of the Myriad and Bond. The Bond won first place tonight. Myriad was awesome though!

I drank an '05 Brunello (Pian delle Vigne) on wed night with dinner. Damn fine wine.
