If Jennifer Anniston handed it to him in a bra and panties he earned it. If not, it's just whiskey.
That fantasy always works for me.

She still looks great.

Kate Beckinsale or it wasn't earned
I'm not going to deny I'm a fan of hers, also.

don't think W12 is anything special but love OWA.

if I don't particularly enjoy the basic Weller SR, is a W12 or 107 worth a shot?

I think so, I enjoy both of them. I would not overpay though.

Yes big time. I thought Weller SR was a drain pour. I felt FP is quite solid and I love 107.

This is exactly how I feel about Weller. I ended up giving my special reserve away to a friend who was more than happy to take it off my hands lol.

I'm shocked anyone would consider SR a drain pour. What makes it popular for most is its name but also its simple sweet not overpowering flavor. 90 proof so not hot. Usually a drain pour for me is something that's too of a X or Y.

You are welcome to mine then I didn't actually pour it down the drain… it just rots on my shelf.

Gave mine away also, nothing is special about Weller SR.

To me, 107 is the sweet spot in the lineup. Past that FP store picks. 107 always hits nice. Store or not. Best "bang for your buck". Especially if you snag a retail price.

107 is very much my favorite.

Anyone have an extra 107? I've got a bottle but it's going to a client and I have never had it.

Always, and they'll say it's just like (whatever bottle you asked for). It's a private label that isn't terrible, but also is not special at all.

I got one as a gift and it was actually good. I would not buy a bottle given that for every one of it's offerings, there are better options for your money. TW really pushes this as comparable to 1792 I believe.

that is because it pretty much is 1792.

Put me in the camp that likes it and will pay the price they sell it for. And, that could very well be a camp of one, lol.

I would not pay the extra for the Bottled in Bond, though.

So far, 1792 Small Batch is my go-to sipping bourbon. (especially at only $29 + tax @ TW).

I'm going to be trying the 1792 Single Barrel around Christmas at my brother's lake house.

This might be beneath a lot of you, but we got the Flaviar whiskey advent calendar this year, and we're currently tasting through it. There's been a couple pretty tasty drams so far, and they're not that expensive. The Bhakta 1928 and the NY Distilling Jayealk Rye have been our favorites so far. Chicken Cock Straight Bourbon was excellent as well.

I got one last year and got about half way through it. Too many weird offerings for me. I lost interest in it and never finished opening the rest of the days. I guess I thought it was primarily bourbon and American whiskeys.

Thanks for the advice.

I've seen different reviews on it (positive and negative) so was hesitating to purchase but I will give it a try.

I'm also hoping I am fortunate enough to find some 1792 Twelve Year next Spring /Summer when it comes out again.

Thank you for the post. I tried to send a personal message but it wouldn't go through.

Unfortunately, I am not in Austin but in the DFW market.

Am I to understand that you have both the 1792 Twelve Year and Sweet Wheat Bourbons (or know where they can be purchased) ?

Thank you,
Hunter

Yes, I have an extra bottle of each, but I won't be in DFW any time soon.

It's the thought that counts.

Thanks !

BTW, what time of year did you purchase the 1792 Twelve Year? Was it during late Spring / early Summer as I have read?
