That John J B was def. single barrel (non green label) I've got another one recently that is green. Whats the diff?
As far as HenryMcKenna 10, I was not impressed at all when I tried it. Passed on it many times now that its on the shelves a lot more frequently.

Yes, it's really good. I just got it so only had two pours so far. It's not as good as 24A though and probably behind 23C as well.
I've had all the batches since they dropped the Jr and 22b, 23c, and 24a are the best so far imo. 24b could be in that discussion as it opens up, but just below those as a fresh crack.
24a and 24b are the only ones I've had side by side though. B is a great batch but the palate is muted compared to A. That's not a knock though, 24A was amazing for my palate right out of the gate and is going to be my fastest bottle kill ever. I'm a huge fan.

I have never seen much of Bowman's unique/higher proof stuff in the wild. They don't make a ton of product compared to a lot of distilleries from what I have gathered.
They have a hazmat batch (140+ proof) from a few years ago that is supposed to be BTAC/Coy Hill/Pappy level stuff, but it's pretty much a ghost product, so-to-speak.

That is the cask strength he is referring to. It is somewhere in the 145 proof range
You are correct their unique stuff is very limited production and most of it stays in VA.
Their lottery is usually in January. Anyone can enter but you have to pick the bottles up at the distillery.

Yeah it's a great one. I haven't met a Stagg I don't like though lol.
Oh nice. 17 was the first one I ever had so I don't remember outside of loving it and knowing I had to have a bottle. I haven't had any of the Jrs other than 17 unfortunately.

Did the 1792 Full Proof and Frey Ranch picks fall through? Haven't heard anything, and there hasn't been anything on those threads in a while.
They are still happening. Barrels have been picked, we're just waiting on delivery. Some distilleries are much faster or slower than others.

No problem. As bonus info, I did spend a couple hours throwing THIS together last weekend when I was bored. I figured having an overview of current, future, and past picks was worthwhile, at least for myself and anyone else that forgets where things stand. Still have some things to add, but if you forget what we're waiting on and what's coming, there is now a reference. Still playing with grabbing a cheap domain for a permanent home, but it lives where it is for now.

This is great, just another awesome contribution by the community on here. I hope everyone realizes how unique it is that we have access to the bourbon and resources that we do for a relatively small community that is spread out over a large area.

Had a fun tasting tonight. The shenks was a favorite and the blue run. For those that like higher proof, myself included really liked the JD Rye it was a private organization pick and 135proof. It was an 8yr and really good and of course the makers fared well.

MWND is a great bottle. I'd be thrilled to buy once a year at Msrp.
MWND is pretty much at the tipping point. I'm a fan, but price is getting near too high. The others are a no for me. Millennium is apparently incredible and near "perfect" but I'm out at that price. The Sinatra is a hard no.

The Millennium is tough. $7,500 is msrp but i already have 1 open and 2 backups. would probably pass on it as well.
