Birthday present from the wife. She got recommendations at TW while shopping.

I don't have any experience with either the Chestnut Farms SiB or Bondstone Double Oak. Have any of you tried either one of them and, if so, how were they?

Came to say this exact thing. OF100 is my go to for mixed drinks. That or Knob Creek 9 year. Higher proof helps combat ice melt.

Please post some comments on the Maker's Mark Kentuckery after you have tried it.

Since its about $70 at Total Wine, I need some TexAgs taste recommendations before I buy it.

(I did buy some MM Golden Hour Barrel Select Bourbon at TW for $77 and it is very good)..

I got a bottle of Chestnut Farms as a gift a couple years ago and really enjoyed it. They definitely push it at TW, but it was an enjoyable bottle.

Edit: I had the bottle in bond version, interested to hear how the single barrel works for you.

I have no knowledge of the bottle.
I would drink it before pricing it. Once you price it, you probably will have the tug to sell it.
Once something reaches thousands of dollars in worth, it is hard for me to justify drinking it.

Looks like a 1991 OWO gold vein. No super recent comps, but given the drop in overall secondary values, I'd say between $1k-1.5k

If you value Americana, pay whatever he asks. That's a piece ur not going to see often, if ever. Id gladly buy one/trade with the intention to never open it and eventually leave to a younger museum when i go. Very cool piece.

Any chance you think it could older? Looks like the deed for the land was made in 1976. I guess the deed could have been made for an earlier project and this project came together later.

8PM: Leave the Quad and rally at the Chicken for initial beers
9PM: dry bean for a couple shots
9:30PM: Obannons for beers
1100: Daisy Dukes a little bump and grind and two step
12: Sake bar for sake bombs
12:30 The Corner for brews and cocktails
1am: top floor of basil whippets for tap tunes and get faded
2am: Northgate Shuffle back to the corps dorms while tearing up Antonio's Pizza

I was at the tap every Wednesday night. Only night we didn't go to the bar was Sunday and Tuesday.

Funny. Went to the hookah station with a bunch of track guys and met Jeff Fuller there.

He must of went there quite a bit.

Roger Creager was one of the last shows I saw at the Hall before it closed down. Took my girlfriend now wife there all the time. Whiskey sours were our drink of choice.

I want to say we did an RV saber arch for the owner at the Hall of Fame after he passed away. Either that or someone important wanted to have his memorial at the Hall.
