Lost Monarch is legit.

I really enjoyed it. Didn't enjoy pipe dream nearly as much.

Sure do, it's my first pour to kick off this Friday night. Drinks slightly hotter than 100p (I like that), and the finish keeps me coming back. Good stuff.

Grizzly is great stuff. Everything good about Redwood is there. Lost monarch is a great old fashioned base.

Based on reviews, it seems like a lot of the negativity is comparing it to previous ECBP (younger and lower proof) and the QA being all over the place specifically for this batch. This is the first one I've had and I might have gotten lucky, but for $70 it's decent. I get a lot of oak, leather, and caramel on the palate.

Bought a bottle last week. I think it's pretty good, and at a decent price point. Nothing like their normal port finish and very different from a typical double oak profile like WR or OF1910. The barrels they finished in bring some uniqueness and complexity I liked.

It's super ambiguous and up to interpretation by the blender. Is it supposed to taste like a cigar? Is it supposed to go well paired with a cigar? It's varied depending on brand

Typically meant to be more robust and sweet to pair with a cigar. Jos a magnus and Nancy Fraley really should have trademarked that one and kept it for themselves.
