I don't care who the next president is as long as they make allocations more available

I can officially run for President this Fall.

I would decriminalize weed, take care of our nation's Veterans, tighten up our borders and end the secondary market for bourbon by publicly hanging anyone caught flipping bottles.

Had a nice short trip with the wife in Kentucky. Started off at Buffalo Trace with the Weller distiller dinner series. Dinner included a four course meal, and tastings of Weller SR, CYPB, Single Barrel and WLW. There was three no shows at our table so the rest of our table switched out our SR tastings with the WLW and CYPBs. At the end of the night a few drunks from other tables came by saying we can't let these great pours go to waste, we are going to drink them, so we said have at it and they shotgunned SR thinking it was WLW and CYPB lol. We ended with a gift bag that included 107s and some glasses. The second day we had a tour and BYOB at Michter's and landed some nice bottles in the gift shop. The last day included BYOB at Heaven Hill. Sense it was a trip with the wife and we've been running on fumes I figured getting up early and driving to HH wouldn't matter so we showed up at 10:10, 20 mins before our appointment…talk about really messing up as they had HH18 that morning and we ended up missing it by 6 spots in line, talk about our luck running our one day early…but still had a great trip, dinner at Repeal one night, lunch at Jim Beam and Willett too.

Hell yeah.

That's awesome. I need to get my group of friends to make a trip out there.

Those Michters bottles…. I'm jealous.

Great pickups! I did fill your own at Michter's when I was there and our barrel was incredible. My business partner has already killed half his bottle. He said it's the best bottle he's ever owned and can't help himself. I'm nursing mine, but shared a pour with a friend last week who put it up there with his BTAC bottles. As much as I love M10R and all the other bottles yall picked up, getting two Fort Nelson's is a major score.

Really looking forward to cracking it open and trying it soon. Wish I could have grabbed a barrel strength rye as that's the only bottle I'm missing from the obtainable line up.

That's a good one too. Probably my favorite of the ryes at the moment. I'm going to be hunting the Barrel Strength Bourbon that's starting to trickle out so I can make my Fort Nelson last.

Where are you seeing barrel strength bourbon?! That hasn't been released since 2017, and the 2024 barrel strength rye is still trickling out through Texas.

I've seen pictures of it twice, on sale posts so assuming it's legit. I haven't seen any info about it though. Mainly second hand people saying so and so has it kinda thing.

I am fortunate enough to procure unlimited bottles of ECBP twice a year. Admittedly, I have had to slow down on BP bourbon. Started to impact me more as I got older. Still very tasty... just had to sip slower, so they last longer.

Check the neck label on those bottles, the first two digits will be the release year. The only release of the barrel strength bourbon is 2017, so that's what should be there. I'll double check with my rep, but I work for Michter's and haven't heard anything about a new 2024 release.

Just curious, and if you don't mind answering - how do you get access to procure unlimited bottles of ECBP twice a year?

Good to know. The pictures I saw were 24 on the label, and I've heard a LOT of people talking about it. But you know how it is in the bourbon world. I couldn't find any info on it, so hearing that from you makes sense. It's a shame though, the barrel strength bourbon is so good.

Sits on a shelf at a particular location in another state. No limit on purchases. Flippers haven't found it. Also get Four Roses BP store purchase once a year. Limit of 1 (per trip )

Alright, I got confirmation from the Texas Rep. He said the only barrel strength bourbon is at the fort nelson distillery, which I'm pretty sure is the fill your own bottles. The closest we'll see is a toasted bourbon release around the holidays.

Go to Portland OR, stuff just sits in the shelf. 1 store I went into had 2 different store picks just sitting out. It's nuts. Along with the regular BP releases.

Good to know. I mean that sucks, but good to get confirmation.
