My understanding is OF isn't very efficient at a lot of things they do, for example JD actually bottles a few of their lines for them. My guess is they just don't have their shiit together.

Brown Forman owns JD and OF that's why they bottle some of their product. Barrel picks from Kentucky tend to take longer because they are such big operations and have so many barrel picks.

Yup I know all about that, I've got family that works at Jack, trust me, OF isn't efficient with stuff, why do you think they truck it 5+ hrs south for bottling, that's why it takes 6 months there vs 3 months or less compared to places like Buffalo Trace which is also Kentucky, meaning much bigger operations get it done in a lot less time. Has less to do with Kentucky and more to do with their operations just aren't as good as others. Also ain't no one bigger than JD. Jack makes up around 75-80% of Brown Formans bottom line. The joke is that JD subsidies all be others in the BF portfolio

What side of the island are you staying on? I'm BOI but don't get back too often since my grandparents passed, but Galveston will always hold a special place for me. I love me some Benno's for some cheap easy seafood, but it's far east side of the island.

That's aged and ore. Can order from their website.

One word of caution. They aren't meant to be put in the dishwasher. Lost two that way and finally read on their site that they weren't dishwasher safe. Switched to https://www.whiskeywhisdom.com after meeting the owner at a festival.

Opened my bottle of Old Forrester King Ranch after the W last night with friends.

Wow, is that a delicious pour.

Very smooth and low heat. Butterscotch finish. Not bad for 104proof.
