My palate consists of like 4 flavors

Oak
Vanilla
Cinnamon
General sweet flavor. "Confectionary"


When I watch bourbon YouTubers I feel like they make up a lot of the tasting notes lol

if you like malt whiskey from a tequila company, then you might want to try Stranahan's Diamond Peak. last years version (should still be the one of the shelf if you can find it) was aged in anejo casks. I haven't had your's but i can say that the Diamond Peak is pretty good.

While there are some ASM's that try to emulate scotch there is a lot of variety in single malts from around the world.

While i can appreciate a good scotch, the ASM's i typically drink do not go that route at all and there is a huge variety of flavors. From westard to colekegan to balcones or woodford there is a ton of difference in the stuff they produce.

It meets the official criteria: a straight whiskey distilled from a mash having at least 51 percent corn in addition to malt and rye:

Thanks for the tip! Local TW has it and about $14 bucks cheaper so I'll check it out!

and if you think Single Malts aged in tequila barrels is bad you'll probably really hate those aged in Sherry casks.

Switched to Tincup 14 after the 10th, half for the lower proof, half to switch the mojo…worked!!

Btw, 14 is low proof, but man, the nose is phenomenal. The palate is pretty good knowing going in its low proof, but I could sniff it for a long time. Just did for a long inning.
