I lean more toward the Small Batch Select, it's a staple in my bar.

Depends on what you like the ORVW tend to me fruity and and weak and smooth. Or you can try something heavier proofed since I'm a proof *****. I don't mind fruit on the nose but crave oak and caramel on the palate. If I get tobacco I'm drinking the bottle that night.

I'm a big fan of the 4R SBBS bottles when you can find them.

I love the EHT Rye. I'll have to pour some later.

How does it compare to some of those hitters from last year?

Tbh I'm not sure. This is my first Larceny Barrel Proof, but it's so complex with great heat while still having good sweetness. I love it.

I didn't used to be a fan and preferred ECBP by a long shot, but Larceny has stepped up their game the last year.

Now there's a line up…Michter's ryes are my favorite, been looking for a EH Taylor Rye but haven't been lucky yet

I hadn't found a rye I enjoyed until about two months ago. M10R really opened my eyes to rye, and they don't have a bad one in the lineup. I snagged the barrel strength rye this week and really want to get the MTBSR.

I got lucky and found the EHT Rye on a trip, and dang it's good. Creamy like the Michter's ryes but with that bright cherry note the other bottles in the EHT lineup have. Then a banana runt note on the finish before a touch of spice hits. I hope you find one because it's fantastic.

those low rye mashbill (51-55% rye) are typically pretty close to some of the high rye bourbons. EHT and Michter's both have lower rye mashbills, and that makes them more accessible to bourbon drinkers than a 95/5 or other high rye options.

Rye moves toward spicy and fruity, and typically packs higher proof to go along with it. Some people really dig the spicy notes and high proof combined.

Makes a lot of sense. I figured I just hadn't had good rye since it was some nicer bottles that put me onto it.
