The soft red wheat is good. It's a sweeter bourbon being a wheater, and I always get cinnamon, funnel cake, and powdered sugar. Really light flavors though. I prefer the barrel strength one, but that's a nice pickup.

I'm curious what you think of the 13th Colony because I haven't see it yet.

Agree completely on the soft red wheat and the Rockhouse proof version is incredible.

I've heard good things about 13th colony but there is also a lot of controversy around them as well. Personally I don't care about that but some might.

Brewzle was a big fan of the Thirteenth Colony, and today was the first time I'd seen it on the shelf in B/CS



I really like the 13th colony, especially at the price point. Not going to blow your socks off, but it's a damn fine sipper. I actually like their Rye better. It's not funky like your usual craft ryes.

And the controversy surrounding 13th colony I believe is with regards to their Double Oaked, which won all the awards and accolades. There were some accusations about potential sweeteners added, plus the distillery's refusal to address any of the questions.

I just cracked that Old Fitz a couple days ago. My LLS hooked me up with the 10 year and 8 year at msrp. Never thought I would ever see those bottles. I haven't cracked the 8 year, but the 10 is fantastic.
