Nothing compared to HOU drop last year.

I was 200th in line and it was insane how long it got by the 10am open.

I believe this was the "9am update" that morning at an estimated 800-900 folks and heard it got up to over 1,000.

Disregard the surroundings, we are at my wife's grandmothers cleaning it out for Christmas, but what better way to spend the day trying to get away from it than shopping around some local places. Picked these three bottles up at Space City Liqour in Clear Lake. Very excited to try them all.

I probably shouldn't have been as excited to buy that bottle as I was. Was a great little spot. They also had some Henry McKenna 10 year, a single bottle of the infamous Willett Purple top 8 year.

The "Real" purple top is the Willett Family Estate bottle. Basically the shelfer 4 year rye bottle but bourbon and purple foil. However, if it's distilled by Willett, it's ***** It's basically higher aged pot still. Willett got famous for picking great single barrels from Heaven Hill, Beam, MGP, etc. They were good at that. They suck at distilling.

I understand places marking up stuff a little, especially mom and pop shops, but a 50-100% mark-up is insane for products that aren't worth it.
