Any of y'all tried Trail's End 10? Bought one tonight on a lark and first taste is surprisingly good.

If y'all like oaky, chocolatey bourbon, this is a pretty awesome buy at $60. 105p.

On my way to Taterville (Buffalo Trace Distillery) for the Old Taylor Tour & tasting at 2. We are going to wing it this evening, staying in Bardstown the next few nights. Anyone else here available to meet up for a few bourbons one night?

I just got back from a Bourbon Trail Trip. If you have time, I highly recommend a visit and tour at Castle and Key. It's the original EH Taylor distillery and a very cool property. If you're staying in Bardstown, Bardstown Bourbon company is a brand new and incredibly nice property and their restaurant is top notch.

Edit to add: Heaven Hill had the highest quality bourbon in their tasting of any place we visited if that fits in your schedule. Not sure who all is open on Monday/Tuesday but I imagine quite a few places are closed so that's going to be an issue.

If you go to Castle and Key and really want a unique experience, Glen's Creek is right down the road. It's the old Old Crow distillery. It's a mirco distillery, and the owner does the tastings right on the shipping/warehouse/distillery floor. Entertaining and just very different from everything else.

That's awesome. Those weren't available the day I was there but the tasting was damn good. Kentucky only release and $250+ retail price.

We definitely made a quick side trip a few weeks ago when we were in town to see if they had any of these available...no such luck. We lucked out with grenades when we were there in Sept, but nothing special available this trip.
