It can always be worse. Don't sweat it. My first ER was like $60 at a mom and pop shop. Especially if you don't have the time to hunt all day.

It's been a while since I've been in there. I think I went in there a couple times when they opened because I was living around the corner. I quickly realized I was wasting my time and was better off at WB or Specs up the road.

We bought a Russel's Reserve a while back that wasn't ridiculous. I think it's the only thing we've ever bought there.

WB is great (and Nora is just lovely) but I don't get over there as often as I'd like.

my folks are going to Thailand and Singapore next week. Anyone know if there is anything worth trying to get out there?

It's very unique for a Rye. Mild.

How is the lower proof RC16? I tried a high proof version and man it was really good. Lots of flavor and worth picking up.

Also those aged and ore kits are awesome. I got the bottle flight and neat traveler recently as a gift.

I think the lower proof is great. And I have another friend who has a 104.0 and says it's fantastic. Sometimes the lower proof cask strengths hit the mark without the bite.

Yeah, that was LadderMan's sample bottle. Very high quality and now I think I will pick up a set too!

Totally agree. Weller 107 hits a sweet spot for me. I do enjoy higher proof stuff but Im not chasing hazmat. Guess I will just have to find a bottle now for research.

Haha could be a new tradition. I tried it with another BT pick and a regular, but this pick is the best out of all 3. It's thicker and has a spicier finish.
