I'm currently staring at one and thinking about it.

So I figured out that my Specs Key Club preferences was having issues and reached out to support and turns out, nothing had ever saved despite multiple attempts. They got it fixed internally, and got an email for a MWND a couple weeks ago (passed on that because I already had one), but today got a Specs Vault email saying I could grab a THH. Clearly excited to get my first real offering, but my question is if I claim it and purchase it, does that remove my points and I start over in terms of allocated bottles? Does it affect future offerings at all? Any insight?

What member level of Specs points do you get offers for say, BTAC? Black?

Folks in the store didn't know the answer when I asked about the MWND offering, so I passed (already have one as well).
I got the THH offering as well, and I'm thrilled!
If I'd gotten a GTS offering, I might have jumped up and danced in the middle of the meeting where I saw the email!

It has changed. In the past it was total points. Now it also factors rolling yearly spend. I am barely black and got a GTS.

The points to get to black seem bonkers. Does Specs run points promos like Total Wine used to, or all y'all just spending WAY more on booze than I am?

Yes, it has definitely changed. I am at Black Level status as well, and not just by a little bit. I passed earlier on the MWND and got the THH offer which I hit. Last year I was able to get a GTS, and I am pretty sure I spent way more this year, so not sure the new points system is doing me any favors.

In response to BQRyno, I am not aware of any points promos that Specs runs....I just need another hobby!

I'm 2054 points away from being black status. I did get the MWND offer but I passed on it since I have a couple already.

The rolling 12 has to be what's triggering the vault offerings. I am at 22K points in the last 9 months and I don't think there is anything that I haven't seen from the vault yet.

No, they do not run any point promos. Think it's just dollar per point.

Does anyone know if High West Distillery in Park City, UT is worth visiting for any gift shop special releases?

I have black status and haven't received any offers. I went online and looks like I wasn't "subscribed" to the options. This mean I miss out for the year? How lame if so

My Wife used a term other than "impressive". Since my points were building most of the first 6 months I wasn't seeing much but the vault system was also just getting started so I think I only missed one or two of the early bottles they put on there. Also the bigger bottles (Pappy ect...) I don't think have dropped yet this year. But so far, Tanyard Hill, OF Birthday, William Larue Weller, Heaven Hill 19 year, OF Presidents Choice Bourbon, KC 21, passed on the MWND. Hoping to see more BTAC stuff.

I went earlier this year. It was a fun visit. The grounds are beautiful. It's basically a horse sanctuary. They didn't have the release I was looking for but they had other stuff. I saw a HW email the other day mentioning a distillery select release of a tawny port barrel finish available. Last week too said MWND would be there and the Saloon.

Was at the Saloon beginning of November and they had Prisoners Share bottles still, and a ton of MWND.

Still a good visit for a flight or two even if they don't have anything.

Exactly the same. Over 17k points but I have too much at home so I've barely made any purchases this year. Haven't gotten a single specs vault email. I know someone who has equal points but spent quite a bit this year and have gotten tons of emails from the vault.
