I live about 9 miles from the distillery, have a few friends that work at Jack and they gave me a heads up that the gift shop was gonna release it, limit one, so I had two friends go with me so I could have a few backups. Got there 25 mins before opening and was around 325 in line. $109 out the door per bottle

It adds a warm woody and rich caramel flavor for me. Elijah Craig Toasted and Michter's toasted barrel strength rye are two that I've liked.

Edit: I had to edit to include OF1910 after seeing AgDev mention it. So good.

depends. If it is aged in just a toasted barrel it will have lighter flavors.

If it is aged in charred barrels and then finished in a toasted barrel it will be less oakey than double barrels and have more of the vanilla flavors.

ECTB is not good imo, though i don't like EC SB.

OF1910 would be my go to for a toasted finish.

This is a good example of differing palates because I think EC toasted is one of the better ones.

ECTB was my favorite pour for a long time. I tried some the other night, and was disappointed because it tasted so thin.
