Yeah, so the Spec's on University still had a few ECBP store picks at noon today. They also had store picks of 1792SiB, 1792BiB, a store pic of Angel's Envy and a bunch of Booker's (probably 10 Booker's I would guess). Hard to resist the ECBP and 1792 picks, so i didn't!

There are 20 cases of it at Nasa Liquor if you are in houston. She has them priced cheaper than the big chains. Also has 6 cases of EHT Small Batch

Not in the H anymore, moved back to the homeland a few years ago. NASA was a great spot, their picks were usually excellent

Four roses single barrel is the best bourbon this newbie has tried
Since you are new, I would keep the proof relatively low, until you get more of a feel for what is out there.
I'd also recommend relatively cheap and easy to find bourbons.
Finally, I'd recommend something that is considered a quintessential bourbon flavor profile.
Thus, try:
*Wild Turkey 101
*Buffalo Trace (hardest on this list to find now)
*Four Roses - yellow label
*Elijah Craig Small Batch
*Knob Creek 9
I would also normally recommend Maker's Mark, but you have already had that.

Not sure where AgDad is located but BT has been readily available here in BCS for months now.
I would add Woodford Reserve to your list and if you want to spend a little more, WR Double Oaked. Both of these were two of my original go-to's and I still regularly sip on Double Oaked. And available at any store. And as noted above I still think Elijah Craig Small Batch is a good bottle for $30.

Last turkey season we drank wild turkey products only. Go with rare breed or Russel's single barrel. Good luck!

I completely agree with this. As you learn flavors and profiles stick to things around the 100 proof mark. High enough that you'll get all of the flavors but not so high that you can't appreciate them.
I'm gonna throw Weller SR out there. Easier to find some places than others, but a great bottle for the price.
The last few posts are by far the easiest to find, reasonably priced, and best bang for your value you'll find.
Evan Williams white label (bottled in bond) also routinely punches above its weight in terms of price/quality

Was going to put this on my post as well but even though I can usually locate it if I want it, it still may not be the easiest to find depending on location. But another that I feel like is often seen as subpar because it's cheap.
W12 is only marginally better than WSR. Come at me taters
And WSR/BT are sitting on a shelf at my neighborhood store.
