I can't believe what a bad start I've had, I didn't miss hardly any major conference games this year, I'm a huge fan of both college and NBA and consider myself a student of the game!

Bye bye first day perfection. Seton Hall with maybe the worst game of basketball I've seen in a long time. Abysmal FT shooting, no offensive rhythm, out of shape, and got out worked in the post all game long. How did that team win the big east tourney last week??

anyone planning on grabbing the jk collaboration bufords roadside wares with Arizona wilderness? not going myself but a group that is going is grabbing me a couple, along with an audio palette. is biere de miel worth grabbing? and say if you had to make a call between it and autumnal dichotymous which way do you go? I've had none of the above, but ive enjoyed the dichotymous series and I also liked the small number of honey beers/braggots I've had, especially lone pint's.

also curious about abraxxxus apple and pear. probably going to get the st dekkera beer they have available as well. essentially I've got about 6 bottles I can reasonably ask them to get. 2 buford, audio palette, and st dekkera look to take up 4 spots. considering hanssens gueuze and a couple other of their offerings (I've had a couple of their kriek lambics and loved them). don't know much about wild beer co., but that could be a route to take as well. Alvinne has some beers on the menu that interest me.

so basically, texags, I need you to help me pick 2 bottles off jk's bottles to go menu. or at least enlighten me if you have any experience with those mentioned above. I've got til tomorrow afternoon to get my list together. tia

Biere de Miel is a great beer of that style so if you like honey saisons I'd try that one. Autumnal is good but wasn't my favorite. Can't speak to the other beers on your list from Europe but definitely grab a Biere de Miel if you can't get it where you live and have never tried it.

If we are going to draft, should all the losers post their beers prior to the draft?

I agree with this. I liked Biere de Miel over Autumnal Dichotomous.

Now, Hibernal Dichotomous was as good as de Miel to me, maybe better, but that's not in consideration.

I just had a really hard time choosing a bottle from a store in Brooklyn. Can only take a limited quantity back with me so I chose the Crooked Stave Mama's Sour Cherry Pie over the Evil Twin Imperial Biscotti Break Bourbon Barrel Aged. Not sure I made the right choice but preferred the sour. Could have also got a 4 pack of Lizard King. Too many choices.

Where are you located Dixie? Biere de Miel and The last several dichotomous versions have all been distributed so you may be able to pick those up yourself and leave some room in what you're asking them to grab. I had an Audio Pallette out of the bottle last night and really enjoyed it. Tried it last weekend at the brewery and it was kind of average and flat. They seem to have some issues with their kegs. I've been several times where they were having to pour into a pitcher to let the head go down and then pour into a glass.

Also, if you like pumpkin beers 5 Stones Sleepy Hollow is pretty good. Picked up the barrel aged version last weekend as well.

Both cherry pie and the biscotti are great, I'd pass on the lizard king if space is an issue, they're good but unicorn vs ninja is so much better.

No... I don't think so. I like the element of surprise. Would be cool to try and get everyone to deliver on the same day. Nothing like 15 packages of beer on your doorstep at the same time.

I'm in Houston. I haven't seen either beer on my side of town at least. my group went a little earier than I anticipated so I didn't get to give a final list, but the last time we talked I mentioned both biere de miel and autumnal so looks like I got both. as well as audio palette and 2 bufords.

I actually originally mentioned ba sleepy hollow to them yesterday, so looks like that is my final bottle. glad to hear you liked it, Ive only had 2 5 stones beers so far but did enjoy them.
