It's fantastic. Not sure how BA calls it an APA though. Seems like an IPA all the way, but who cares.

the difference between an APA and and IPA are just the types of hops.

No it's not.. well not according to BJCP guidelines..

It's strength and IBUs.
There's
10A American pale ale 30-45 IBU, 4.5-6.2%
14B American IPA 40-70 IBU, 5.5-7.5%
14C Imperial IPA 60-120 IBU, 7.5-10%
and 14A English IPA 40-60 IBU, 5-7.5%

Then there is English pale ales which is subdivided into 3 categories of strength and IBU, all of which are lower than a typical american IPA.

English IPA will have english hops varieties and english yeast. The 3 others can have american, noble and/or english hop varieties and american yeast.

Odells calls it an extra pale ale.. not an actual category, but implying a bit stronger and hoppier than an APA, which it is.

learn something new every day. honestly never ready the judging guidelines since i don't like IPAs. I read the difference between apa and ipa in a couple places. maybe i misinterpreted the origins?

Dave - I'm looking do a similar setup. Where do you keep your CO2 at for the rolling kegerator?

I mounted a 20oz paintball canister on the outside with a bicycle bottle holder. This photo is a little old as I hadn't run the CO2 gasline through the cooler. The manifold is mounted on the back at the top. Ice is poured in the open spaces on either side of the kegs. These are two 2.5g kegs and I had to pound the hell out of them to get them to fit. Works wonderfully! Had ice even the next day when we brewed on the back patio.

Nice! I had been debating about the what to do with the CO2. Hadn't thought about a paintball canister.

Feels good to be back in Aggieland. And most importantly the beer is safe

So I see that St Arnold BB2 and BB4 are both supposed to make an appearance.. I have a BB3 I could bring if someone happens to have a BB1 they could bring? It'd be pretty cool to do a vertical of the BB's so far.

Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit drinking.
