Another good Ag shared some great beers over the weekend for a fantasy baseball draft.

Prairie Okie Paradise - Wow. Super smooth with lots of caramel & coconut flavor.
Lakewood Lion's Share IV - Didn't think I would like this one as much as I did, but very good.
Martin House Acheron - a good BA stout that really showed the whiskey as it warmed.

Both, plus rising rents in a lot of spots. It's a bit of a paradox. Breweries take over dilapidated spaces, aid in revitalizing neighborhoods, then can't afford their new leases. The River North area of Denver will be a good study in how to manage an urban brewery in the coming years.

Sucks.

Community Brewing here in Dallas is getting hit with a similar thing. They're in prime real estate in the Design District, directly across from the AAC, and their landlord just sold to Mark Cuban & the Mavs for a practice / team facility. They've still got ~6 1/2 years left of their lease, but they gotta think of something quick. Community and Peticolas were both huge in the revitalization of the Design District.

Hopefully by the time Community's lease is up they can work toward owning. That's a great location though.

Makes you wonder how many breweries are on leases versus owning their property.

I guess hazy IPAs are the it thing for 2017. What was the rage last year, tropical IPAs?

Did all of these breweries open at the same time with the idea of selling tall boy cans of NEIPA? Some coincidence?
