Hey y'all...

I'm looking for some advice on night vision... i've heard steele industries is good and that buying used from ex-miltiary folks is a good option. i mainly want to use it recreationally, i hunt a lot so going to the blind/stand and then also having it in my prepper bag...

figure y'all may have some pointers... seems like there are some good options in the 2-4k range, y'all have any advice on the best place to look?

Based on my real-world experience in the Infantry (Army) I would go with dual tube white phosphor with articulating bridge.

I wasn't a super cool guy so all I was issued was single tube PVS14 NVGs but they did the trick. Even if your glasses fog up, you can adjust the focus on your NVG and it will correct your eyesight, which is cool.

But for your budget, you probably will have to settle with a fixed bridge NVG, but for recreational use that should be an issue since you aren't trying to stay alive.

Since it hasn't been suggested yet, can you increase your budget a little?

L3's GPNVGs will offer a bit better performance than regular single or dual tube designs.

Also, since SHOT show is happening, there will be new releases like these PNVGs:
