A Russian "Storm Z" assault unit instructor speculated that the Russian Ministry of Defense (MoD) removed Lieutenant General Andrey Sychevoy from commanding in the Bakhmut direction due to his poor performance. The instructor claimed on October 1 that the Russian military command removed Sychevoy from his position for conducting unprepared and unsupported counterattacks south of Bakhmut near Klishchiivka and Andriivka.

In Germany this week, and I saw a few Russian 2and 3 stars at the Soviet Memorial in Berlin for a wreath laying ceremony. They looked surprisingly young for their rank. Made me wonder how many senior officer Russia has worked through during this latest war.

If Germany had any self respect they would blow it in place and turn it into a park.
I don't care that the Germans are responsible for WWII. The communist Soviets were not the good guys.
If the Russians want to pay to have it dismantled and shipped back to Moscow, then fine.
Otherwise? Boomerooskie.

Interesting thought experiment. Without a Russian front, and all the resources that went into that, could the Germans have defeated a beach invasion? If England had surrendered, would the US have been able to do anything from across the Atlantic?
The only way this happens is Hitler is not in power and then everything is on the table.OldArmyCT said:
