Son has an NROTC scholarship and his paperwork is asking for which outfit he wants to be in. How is he supposed to know which one? Any recommendiations? He is currently in the Marine option but thinking he might switch to Navy so recommendations for both would be appreciated.

There's social media links under each outfit which might be useful, too. IIRC, all the NROTC outfits have Navy and Marine cadets.

I'm a rising junior in Company S-1. Lot of marine contracts here, including the upcoming CO for the Marine Company in NROTC. You or your son are welcome to reach out to me 817-781-7988 and I can get you in contact with my command, they'll do a lot better job than me at selling S-1. Love it here.

My outfit S-2 was disbanded and then came back .

It now earns flags and cords.... If that matters.

H-1 was a very solid outfit, but I believe they got disbanded unfortunately.

Any Regiment outfits non integrated? I was just browsing nrotc outfits and I saw that apparently H-1 has been disbanded. Maybe probably one of the last bastions of old army. May The Almighty have mercy on us all!

Yep, H-1 was the best regiment outfit when I was there. Known for being physically fit, active in special units, producing Naval and USMC officers, and tough. They more than likely chose non-integration as the hill to die on. Don't blame them.

Loved hearing their fish give the Reveille campo next to E2. "Sir, Reveille I was the first b***h and she died on…"
