Yeah, it's 2 moon goon. Reserved for those of us low enough to not have a training position in the outfit (e.g. only an IM/Logistics zip). I knew of one guy who refused to wear two and would only wear 3.

There are the occasional 1 moon, but that requires having no role in the outfit whatsoever.

Can't believe someone who didn't start A&M until after I graduated is "an old Ag" or even a Brigadier.

I always wanted to cut a 1 moon in half and wear 1/2 of it along with a 3 moon.

My daughter got to visit with General Wilson '81 today. (mentioned above) She was pretty impressed, he still flies missions, which surprised her. He also had 3 generations of West Point grads in the family and came to A&M instead. Our daughter has two generations of Aggies ahead of her, and chose USAFA. The general asked her what was wrong with her...then laughed because his experience was the opposite.

I'm proud of the Aggies we have out there in the service.
