Taking the wife down to la cantera for a few days. .. .thought about doing a wine tour somewhere in the hill country or Fredericksburg area. Any recommendations on a cool wine tour? Thanks in advance.

I've used Hill Country Wine Tours 3 or 4 times on our anniversary. Mike is awesome (his staff is as well if you don't get him). It looks like his prices have gone up a bit, but I would not reduce my recommendation at all based on my past experience.

I'd hit up Becker or Grape Creek on 290 in Fredricksburg and just buy a bottle or two and chill out while skipping the tour part. The problem is you have to make it back to La Cantera after drinking said bottle or two.

Another alternative is to Uber your way over to Wine 101 in Helotes (10-15 min drive from La Cantera).

Wine 101 is a good call. I like it over there. May join over there and drop to 3 bottles at four point.

Take the trip through Boerne Sisterdale route. Stop at Luckenbach for a beer then check out Grape Creek.
