Anyone have any experience with any companies (either recommend or stay away from)? My dishwasher has apparently been leaking for some time now and water has collected collected under the lower cabinets on an exterior wall and the perpendicular interior wall. Didn't even know anything was going on until baseboard in the adjacent laundry room began to peel paint. Cross posted to Houston board. Thanks.

First I'd remove the baseboards on cabinets and the perpendicular wall and see what is going on.

Get some heavy duty fans.

Remediation companies are very pricey and typically gouge your insurance for every penny. You may need to just let it dry out for a week or two. If you have a trusted handyman that is where I would start.

As I recall from years ago, the remediation companies refer to heavy duty fans as "air handlers" and charged to my insurance a rental fee of something like $100/day. Crazy.

Air handlers/movers and fans are different. Fans are meant for diffused circulation within a volume, whereas air movers are designed for high speed air movement across a surface, generally to dry it out.

$100/day seems ridiculous. You could buy a small one for $100.
