We are looking to remodel a bathroom in Bryan. We are trying to figure out the approximate cost of adding a vent fan/exhaust on the ceiling as well as a second switch for it. My husband could do it, but we are at the point in our lives where having someone else do it would be worth it for us.

since the main problem is proper venting to outside

Remodel as in the ceiling and walls are open? I would think $300-400 for an electrician to wire it assuming you provide the bathroom fan. If the ceiling and walls are closed, it will be a little more to fish everything.

If Barkers or others don't weigh in, then .... HD is the backup.
Our Aggieland HD has been hiring the good guys away from Best Buy, etc. so hoping for the best.

Where do you plan to terminate the exhaust to ? Through the roof ? Soffit ?

Only consideration I would add here is to ensure you hard pipe your exhaust fan out of the house. We have two in our remodel, toilet area and shower area. I hard piped both out of the side of the house with 6" rigid duct. Dramatically improves your ventilation results vs using flex pipe that every contract will default to.
