Anyone have concrete work done recently? Need a slab poured and trying to get an idea of pricing per sq ft.

Thanks.

I can't post a picture but it is a simple 12x20 rectangular building. Pad would need to be notched

Lots of variables

Is it a foundation with beams ?
Plumbing in the slab ?

Location ?

Can a truck back up to it to pour ?

Or is it in a backyard ?

Have not poured any in good while but rough guess is $10-$30 a sq ft on something that small as most don't like to do under 1000 sq ft due to economies of scale

I guess the most important question here is, what did your quotes come in at?

The concrete alone is $3/sf (6", not including markup), then some mesh or rebar at another $1, then forming at a few bucks, then pouring at a few bucks. Is it already graded and ready to go? That will cost you more of course. You want rock beneath it? That is another $2/sf for material and more for labor. As mentioned above, you tailgating or pumping? Pumping is more.

You may pay more for the mud if you have a short load..

It's probably best you just get a quote..

You might be able to find someone to do it in the $15-$20 range if it's not a complete pain in the ass to get material to the pour.

You just need to get some quotes. There are a lot of variables, and you may pay a premium for something that size.

The last slab I personally poured was 4200sf. Looks like I came in at $13.43/sf including labor, materials, pump, and about $5500 in geotech/structural engineering fees.

Thank all.

The site is already leveled and rolled with base, so ready to go.

It will need to be pumped and again, just a 12x20 pad...nothing special...no plumbing, etc through slab.

The first quote that I received was $6500 which I felt was pretty high based on past experience.

This is in the SA/Bulverde area
