Has anyone here "remodeled" their front yard landscaping to change from gradual slope from foundation to street to a tiered / step down setup?

One of our neighbors front yard is setup like this and I'm looking into if it might be a good fit for our yard. If I get further down this road I'll get a landscape architect and prof. landscaper involved.

I'm not well versed in the landscaping world so at this preliminary stage I thought others on the board might have experience/insight as to what this process looked like, what requirements/restrictions would automatically preclude this from being a realist possibility, etc.
Thanks & Gig 'Em

Dont know how severe your slope is but we did something similar with all the planting beds in our front yard. Built up one side of the bed area to "level" all of them out at different levels while still keeping the bed itself at least 6" below the brick line.
