Cast iron pipe giving us problems now. Had one company come out and give us a quote to reroute.

I searched Texags already and didn't find much. I did come across one thread with recs but cannot find it now.

Deteriorated cast iron is under the slab, yes. Currently plumber suggested to reroute the bad portion around the house to main. The problem areas (kitchen, half bath and laundry are on the outside walls of the house so we can cap the bad drain and reroute those on the outside wall to the main city line. Will not need to tunnel under the house.

Since it is a reroute without any tunneling, I may have a couple of numbers. Let me check.

Sounds like you are maybe doing a portion of the lines. If I were you, I would replace all the lines at the same time. Make a mess once.

No reason to do all the lines if a reroute can be done for the damaged areas. Laundry and kitchen lines usually are first to corrode all the way through.

I just replaced my cast iron and concrete pipes in Houston through Halo Plumbing and would use them again.

Mind sharing the cost?
