Have some growth on my front lawn (fungus maybe?). Any ideas on what to treat this with?

Looks like brown patch. Scotts Disease EX granular fungicide (which contains azoxystrobin) is very effective against it.

Howdy,

If you're local to B/CS hands down recommend The Fertilizer Guy. Randy Clark is an Aggie and has overseen our yard needs for the past 5 years.

I tried to DYI our yard when it came to fungus, fire ants, etc. and finally brought Randy onboard and never looked back.

brown patch, cinch bugs, and/or fungus would be my guess. It's late in the season, so I would only treat for bugs right now personally. You can rake out all that dead grass now or wait until very, very early spring and lay in a little enhanced top soil, then treat the whole yard for fungus and brown patch.

Why would you only treat for bugs right now? We're on the tail end of bug season and in the thick of fungus season until we get a freeze.

Typical fall fungus. All the grass will be brown after the first freeze, so I wouldn't worry about it.

The past two falls, is saw spots like this as grass started to go dormant and temps got cooler…figured nothing about it but the next spring and summer I battled fungus that looked like TARR and have had to treat and re sod a number of spots. Get some anti fungal on it and stick with it
