I am looking for 2-3 inexpensive paintable wall cabinets to hang in my laundry room. Does anyone have experience with the in-stock cabinets sold at Home Depot or Lowes? I was not impressed with the quality of the them as they were primarily constructed of particle board. I found these RTA cabinets at the Door Clearance Center in Houston that are constructed of plywood and look like they are higher quality. Does anyone have any experience with these cabinets, or can recommend cabinets at a similar price range?

I did Ikea cabinets for my laundry room reno about 7 years back. I think it was their Sektion line. They have held up great and the paint process I followed has held up great as well.

Look on FB marketplace. There's tons of places that sell them. Mostly RTA.

I bought some of the RTA cabinets from HD for a "custom" beverage center in our dining room. Much higher quality than I expected and my wife had to admit I was right about the color. And now I have cold drinks in the house.

Quality is as good as our original kitchen and laundry cabs from the 70s. Soft close hinges and drawer slides were an added bonus.

This place has some insane deals, bought a ton of baseboard and trim there.

I ended up going with the cabinets from Door Clearance Center. They didn't have the sizes I needed in the unfinished, so I bought the stained cabinets instead (I'm glad now as it means that I don't have to paint them). I finally got the hang of assembling them by the third cabinet. Overall, it looks like a pretty good product, especially for a laundry room.
