Had to replace torsion spring on one of my rentals. I know enough about garage doors to know I DON"T mess with torsion springs.

Used a company I have been using for 25 years. $400 labor to replace the spring.

This doesn't pass the smell test.

UPDATE BELOW!!
The last thing I want to do is hurt you. But, it's still on the list.

Paid $320 all-in in 2018 for spring and for new wheels/bearings on guides. $400 would be fair w/ parts in my mind today without wheels/bearings.

what if a dollar was only worth 50 cents...then i'd say that's a good price!

btw, i paid about the same recently...stuff just cost more now. dollar aint worth chit.

I was $250 all-in on a single spring in New Braunfels last fall, but I had to wait a week. The "fix it right now today" price for a different company was $500

UPDATE:

Talked to the garage door guy and he admitted the "handwritten" invoice was quite vague.

Technician came out and rehung door, lubricated rollers, replaced dual springs and cables.

All in $458.00 which I considered acceptable.
The last thing I want to do is hurt you. But, it's still on the list.
