Does anyone have any experience with water pressure issues in a 2 story?

We recently started having an issue on the 2nd floor of our house, when someone is taking a shower in either bathroom. If someone flushes the toilet, the shower loses more than half the water pressure. Same appears to happen if someone turns on a sink. We have always had very strong water pressure in the 15 or so years we have lived here. We are on a MUD for water supply. This never seemed to be an issue in the past. The only effect we used to see was that shower would get very hot for a bit while toilet fill ran.

Would it be possible that the MUDs pressure has somehow been impacted, or should I be looking inside my house pipes? I am in the Round Rock area.

Get one of these

Verify what your resting pressure is

Then turn on said fixtures and see what it reads

Also go out by your water meter box. Do you see another round or square box cover behind it? Look inside for a brass looking valve with a nut and usually a flat head screw on the top of it.

You may have a pressure reducing valve after the meter and when these start to fail you will see pressure issues when multiple fixtures are being ran.

Sounds stupid make sure the valves out by the street or all the way open

Pressure reducing valves do you fail overtime? If you have one of those and sometimes they have a screen the filter they can get clogged up in cause volume issues.

This reminds me of my time on the quad 50 + years ago. Anytime someone was in the shower, and you wanted to flush a toilet, you had to sound off "CRAPPER!" then wait for them to reply "shoot" before you flushed, allowing them to avoid getting 'scalded', which would result from the cold water pressure diverted from the shower to the commode. If it was done to an upperclassman, there would be hell to pay when some poor unsuspecting fish forgot to yell "crapper". I'm sure that's still in effect today.
