Any idea why this light would suddenly start to constantly flicker? Connections are good and there are 5 more lights on that switch. It is on a dimmer switch that probably isn't necessary.

Should I lose the dimmer?

Yes lose the dimmer.

If it's a single LED on that switch, it could be the driver for the LED going bad. Often, they have a higher failure rate when used on dimmers. If it's started to fail, the light may continue to flicker even if you remove the dimmer.

Good info! I'm gonna replace the switch today. Maybe I'll grab a replacement light just in case.

Dimmers also have different tech in them.

You may want to research the style of dimmer you have and swap to a different type.

Yes the lights have to have specific dimmer for the lights. And sometimes that still doesn't fix it!!

What about Lutron or Leviton?

I am just going to remove the dimmer switch and go to a regular one. We don't use the dimmer at all anyway.

Replaced with a basic switch and so far so good! I put the original light back up and it is working great! I also replaced another dimmer in the kitchen for the fixture over our breakfast table. It always flickered and now works much better!

Thanks y'all!
