Anyone have a contact that can make repairs to a pool fire feature? Not sure if it got left on for an extended period of time or what caused it to crack.

Tomball area.

Wow no suggestions but yes it looks like it was left on too long. That looks like concrete coping which is the cheapest material out there, so it'll crack easily esp with that kind of heat. That fire feature should really be in an aluminum pan so the stone is protected.

How do you leave a fire feature on too long? Isn't that the point?

I have no idea either but I would not leave the pool dry or it will start to crack costing a bunch of money to resurface.

Not to knock the poster's feature, but from what I can tell it's built very cheaply. It should have a pan to hold the pit material and the igniter should have a temp probe that shuts it off if it gets too hot.

No offense taken. The pool isn't mine. Belongs to a friend. He was able to track down the original pool builder. He's going to come out and take a look.

I agree there should be some sort of tray to keep the flames from directly contacting the concrete. Maybe a component is missing.

We'll know in a few days.

Thanks for the comments gents.
