I have a new home being constructed, and I was told that I need to provide an outdoor box to contain the ethernet cables for my internet connection, and it needs to be about 10x10 inches or 12x12 inches. The box will be mounted on a brick wall where the cables come out of my house.

I know nothing about these outdoor boxes. Do you all have any recommendations on what to use?

They aren't being run overhead outside. I have wired ethernet ports throughout my house. The router box inside has to interface with wherever my internet provider connects their line to my house. Right now, the ethernet wires are just hanging freely outside through a hole in my wall. I need a box to contain them and allow the internet provider to hook up to my system.

Suddenlink provides the box if elected as internet provider, so yours should also?
Some of these look familiar to the one they attached to under soffit on the house where incoming line drop came in.

My Ethernet cables ALL run outside my house. They are direct bury because the house is an 1870's build and I'm not cutting into walls and fishing cable.

My cables go into this box and then are terminated with a keystone faceplate which allows me to connect my broadband cell router and provide wired internet everywhere.

This is a common enclosure used for something like that. Will typically see it named CG1000.

I feel like every box I've seen has the logo of an internet provider on it. Suddenlink, sbc global, AT&T, Comcast

Fiber will come into your home and the termination is done inside (it needs 110V as well). Or at least mine does.

Frontier FIOS brought their own box for their ONT when I got it installed last year.

That is true but Frontier also installs their termination junction box on the exterior wall for the feed line from the street to be connected to the feed line into the house where the master panel box is located. That panel box has to be located near a 110V outlet to power their equipment.

At least that's what they did for everybody in our neighborhood.

Thanks for all the replies. I should have added a pic. This is what I'm dealing with. I have this orange conduit which I think already has fiber, and some black and white wires. Due to the amount of wires and that thick conduit, I need a box that us quite large I assume.

Edit to add: How would an internet provider interface with these wires to hook up my internet from the outside? The fiber runs into a box in a closet in my house which should also have the 110 V outlet there.

This. Every home I've lived in, it's usually right beside the electrical meter.

I think I've concluded that it's best to wait for my ISP to install their fiber and put in their own box. I have a conduit with a pull string that goes from the outside into a closet in my house for bringing in fiber.
